The people behind it
We are a small team that does one thing. We research what each state actually asks for, keep it current when agencies change their forms, and assemble a kit that matches your situation rather than a generic pack. When you email support, a person reads it.
What we actually do
- Work out the right order. Social Security before your licence, your licence before most of the rest. Getting this wrong is what sends people back a second time.
- Fill your forms in. Federal and state applications arrive completed with your details, not blank templates for you to work through.
- Match your reason for changing. Marriage, divorce and personal preference are three different processes. Your instructions follow yours.
- Include the envelopes, stamped. So you are not working out where nine different forms get posted.
- Let you fix things afterwards. If something changes or a form comes back, you can go in and regenerate your documents.
What we do not do
We do not file your name change for you, and no service can. Agencies require your own signature, and most require original or certified documents that only you can hold. Anyone promising to file on your behalf is describing something that does not exist.
We also do not issue your new legal name. Your marriage certificate, court order or divorce decree already did that. What we remove is the part where you read three government pages, pick the wrong form, and find out six weeks later.

A printed checklist in the order you should work through it, your pre-filled federal and state forms, step by step instructions written for your state, forms and guidance for personal accounts like banks and memberships, and pre-stamped envelopes.

Why pay for this at all
You could do the whole thing yourself for nothing. Every form we use is published by the government and free to download. We would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.
What people pay us for is the research and the sequence: knowing which forms apply to their state and situation, in what order, with what evidence attached. That is the part that costs a weekend and a second trip to the DMV when it goes wrong. If your situation is simple and you enjoy admin, do it yourself and keep your money.
