If you’ve recently changed your nameโwhether due to marriage, divorce, or a legal name changeโitโs important to update your voter registration in Florida. This ensures your name matches your official ID and that you’re eligible to vote in upcoming elections without any issues.
Luckily, Florida makes it easy to update your voter information.
Before making any updates, verify your current voter registration record:

Youโll need:
Your new legal name
Florida driverโs license or ID number
The last four digits of your Social Security number
Date of birth
If you prefer, you can submit a new voter registration application with your updated name.
Download the form here:

Mail or deliver it to your county Supervisor of Elections

You must update your voter registration at least 29 days before an election to vote under your new name.
Make sure your driverโs license also reflects your new name, as it will be used to verify your identity at polling places.
